A festive focal point for Windsor
Windsor On Ice returned to Alexandra Gardens for the 2025–26 season with an enhanced winter experience, centred around our purpose-built marquee and ice rink. Designed to offer audience comfort and enjoyment with great visibility of the rink, and views of the gardens – the event once again transformed Alexandra Ggardens into a festive focal point for Windsor.
From family skating sessions to evening skates under the lights, the Windsor On Ice delivers a vibrant winter attraction in the heart of Windsor, combining ice skating, seasonal entertainment for all age groups, and a truly festive atmosphere.
A Premium Marquee Experience
A key new feature of this season’s venue was the purpose-built marquee, designed to enhance both comfort and visual impact. The ice rink was housed within a 15-metre wide clearspan marquee with a curved roof, giving the space an open, airy feel while comfortably accommodating the rink, lighting and guest areas.
The structure incorporated solid glass side panels (rather than traditional soft walls), creating a warmer and brighter more open environment with clear views across Alexandra Gardens by day, and a warm, illuminated atmosphere by night.
This design choice enhanced comfort for skaters and spectators alike, while contributing to the overall high-quality finish of the event. The glass frontage also improved weather protection and insulation, ensuring a consistent visitor experience throughout the season.
The result was a rink enclosure that combined practical performance with a clean and contemporary look, well suited to the Windsor setting and wintry conditions.
